10 Fast Facts: The Djokovic-Nadal Australian Open Final

- Rafael Nadal is looking to become the first player to complete the Career Grand Slam twice in the Open Era. If the Spaniard wins on Sunday, he will own two or more titles at every major. Rod Laver accomplished the feat once each as an amateur and a professional. Roy Emerson did it twice as an amateur.

- Novak Djokovic can break his tie with Roger Federer and Roy Emerson for the most Australian Open trophies by claiming his seventh victory at the event. The Serbian can also break his tie with Pete Sampras for the third-most major titles in the Open Era (they currently have 14).

- This is just Djokovic and Nadal’s second meeting at the Australian Open. Their first match came in the 2012 final, which at five hours and 53 minutes (won by Djokovic) remains the longest major championship match in history, as well as the longest match of both their careers. The pair’s most recent clash, a five-hour, 15-minute battle in last year’s Wimbledon semi-finals (also won by Djokovic), was the second-longest match of their careers.

- This will be the 47th meeting between the top two seeds in a men's singles final at a Grand Slam men’s in the Open Era. In those clashes, the No. 1 seed and the No. 2 seed have each been victorious 23 times.
