“This is our livelihood”: even in a pandemic, the UTR Pro Tennis Series helped to kickstart professional tennis

The tennis world wondered what would happen to professional tennis once the pandemic hit. But while most attention was on established players in the top 200, UTR partnered with Tennis Australia to create the UTR Pro Tennis Series for a mostly neglected group: players who were working their way up the rankings. With over 19 events and $450,000 in prize money on offer, the events offered these up-and-coming players a valuable chance to play locally but count globally.
